J.C.L. Furniture Trading company was started by Mr. Joel C. Lizarondo, a Marine Engineer by profession. Before he started a company, he worked in a furniture exporting company. However, when the company where he works was transferred to China, many people lost their jobs. With that, he decided to try and start a furniture manufacturing business in a backyard in the year 2006. During this time, he is sub-contracting from other companies and renting machines. In 2008, the backyard business was named Wood Groove Furniture, which caters to clients from large-scale companies in Manila. In 2012, the firm was slowly growing as he could buy machines rather than rent. More so, the business was referred to as more prominent companies and hotels. From Wood Groove Furniture, the company was renamed J.C.L. Furniture Trading and has become vatable. In the year 2017, the company started refurbishing woodworking machines to serve the needs of the same industries.
Currently, J.C.L. Furniture Trading manufactures wooden furniture for high and middle-class demand for hotels, restaurants, condos, schools and home furniture. It also manufactures wooden furniture with ironworks, weaving and upholstery.
