With its large, state-of-the-art facilities, modern equipment and eco-friendly manufacturing policies, MECCA MFG. PHILIPPINES, INC. (MMPI), formerly known as Mecca Furniture Corporation, is a leader in the manufacturing of high-quality wood pallets for both domestic and international markets. After getting its start in the furniture manufacturing and exporting market, MMPI’s expertise in wood products, complemented by its existing woodworking equipment and infrastructure, allowed MMPI to diversify and venture into the wooden pallet manufacturing business.
With the full support of certain markets, San Miguel Yamamura (SMY) and American Power Conversion (APC), the company was able to establish itself on the map of pallet manufacturers in the Philippines, and was eventually awarded the Golden Shell in 1996 for its capacity to manufacture. MMPI has been a forerunner in the furniture business for the past 23 years, and has been manufacturing quality pallets since 2009.MMPI was first established in October, 1987 by its President, Mr. Noel Cunanan under the name of Mecca Furniture Corporation, and in 1988, began manufacturing furniture and pioneering mass-produced furniture for export.
MMPI was thereafter restructured and incorporated two years later on August 20, 1991 at which time the company’s name was changed from Mecca Furniture Corporation to MECCA MFG. PHILIPPINES, INC., the name by which we are currently known. In addition to our existing production areas with a total of 30,000 square meter facility, we are in the process of building another two state-of-the-art storage facilities, each covering an area of 75 meters X 40 meters, in order to provide our products and services in the shortest possible time and better meet the needs of our customers. Today, we carry over a million board feet of lumber to meet the wood pallet demand from large manufacturing companies.
